Emmanuel Litvinoff
z'l, 1915 - 2011
It is with sadness that I note the death of the acclaimed East End poet
and author Emmanuel Litvinoff. I met him in 2008 at a
celebratory event in Nelson Street synagogue to mark the
re-publication of his seminal East End work 'Journey through a
small planet'. This is a must read for all with an
interest in the Jewish East End. The Daily Telegraph carries an
